Bayer Indonesia, Cargill and Nestlé Indonesia won Sustainable Business Awards

Bayer Indonesia, Cargill and Nestlé Indonesia won Sustainable Business Awards (SBA) Indonesia. The awards were announced on January 7 in the presence of Minister of national Development Planning (Bappenas), Bambang Brodjonegoro.

Bayer won two categories on Special Recognition, Strategy and Sustainability Management and Special Recognition, Flagship Initiative. In a press release that has been received on January 7, Global Initiatives as the organiser of SBA acknowledged Bayer's commitment towards sustainability that is aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In Indonesia, Bayer’s sustainability focuses its positive impacts in health and agriculture sectors (in line with its businesses), particularly through training for communities and along its supply chain.

Cargill won Best Newcomer category. "With a strong focus on food security and nutrition," said Global Initiatives' statement, "Cargill is leading the way in creating lasting change across their value chains."

For the maximum effort to implement energy efficiency, Nestlé Indonesia won new award category on Cooling Efficiency. Nestlé Indonesia's policy "focuses on industrial refrigeration and have implemented numerous initiatives to reduce energy consumption from cooling systems."
